One of my favorite travel experiences was joining a Back of the Bike tour in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. For one night, my friends and I each hopped on the back of a scooter driven by a local college student as we were shuttled around to taste the best street food Ho Chi Minh had to offer. I fell in love with Vietnamese food on that night, and I found myself craving the cuisine often since I got back to Manila.

When I heard that a new Vietnamese restaurant was opening at SM Aura’s Sky Park, I was excited to try it. As their menu states, Nha Em is a place where “traditonal Vietnamese favorites are carefully prepared with genuine love.” Their fare reflects what I imagine home-cooked Vietnamese food to be like. It’s only fitting that Nha Em means “My Home.”

Here are some dishes you’ll want to try:

Cha Gio – fried spring rolls
Dau Hu Chien Trung Muoi – salted egg tofu
Tom Kho Tau – river prawns in roe sauce
Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Mam – fried chicken wings in fish sauce
Muc Xao Xa Ot – lemongrass squid with chili
Pho Bo – beef noodle soup

These are just some of the dishes now available at Nha Em. Go visit their beautiful location at the 5th level Sky Park of SM Aura Premier Mall. Follow @nhaemph on Instagram and Facebook for news and updates.
